It is said that all mortal-kind came from The Below. Once, there were many great kingdoms. A flourishing golden age was cut short by The Rot, a toxic jungle which spread slowly but surely across the land. Any city unfortunate enough to be infected would perish within mere weeks.
All attempts to burn out or cut down The Rot were futile. So the only option left was to flee to the clouds and escape the otherwise inevitable decay. Thus began the period known as The Ascension, where the land was severed and sent into the sky.
The Below is now a silent graveyard. No one knows what lurks in the darkness...
